What’s the Difficulty?
One of the many common questions we get asked is: “How hard is this room? Are we going to be able to escape?” First off, a room’s difficulty should never sway you from giving it a try. Our helpful Game Masters will be with you every step of the way, and won’t hesitate to give a few helpful hints when you need them. However, we have a system that breaks down the difficulty for you.
Challenging
These rooms are ideal for first-timers. They are still challenging, but the puzzle complexity is on the simpler side. Perhaps you will only need to do one to three steps per puzzle, and the answers (in theory) will come a bit easier than our harder difficulties. Challenging rooms include:
-Naughty Ned Nabs the Nice List
-The Morgue
More Challenging
These rooms are a step up from the “Challenging” rooms and will start to incorporate more complex puzzles with harder to find answers. They are not considered the most difficult rooms, but still provide a decent challenge. Groups with a few experienced players will find these to be a good fit. “More Challenging” rooms include:
-The Reel
-Grim Stacks: Books and Bindings
-The Path
Most Challenging
These rooms are the most challenging we have on offer. If you’re ready to put your puzzle-solving skills to the test, these rooms are the perfect fit for you. The puzzles can be quite complex and incorporate many different steps before you find the answer. We recommend giving these rooms a try after you have completed the less challenging rooms on offer. “Most Challenging” rooms include:
-Curse on the Emerald Seas
-Amnesia
